Patient Testimonial
"I don't have family in town so the convenience of having surgery locally where my friends are is great. Yet, I come here not just for the convenience. I know I'll get quality care at GRMC. It's the best care possible in the area. I've dealt with four other hospitals when family members needed care in the state and none were as friendly and caring as GRMC." -Bobbie Kahler of Grinnell underwent two knee replacement surgeries in 2006.

Kahler spent several days at GRMC with each knee surgery. She says the staff were so helpful and compassionate. The nurses were always checking in while she was on the leg and ice machines. She could really sense they were there not for the paycheck but because they really cared about the patient.

Equally important was the excellent care of physical therapy and home health. The full-service options of big-city medicine were available so Kahler could return home after surgery. She says she couldn't have done that without the caring staff at GRMC.
