Orville Bloethe honors his late brother Lt. Leonard Bloethe, who was killed in action during World War II, in a special display inside the new Victor Health Center. This includes WWII items and momentums from Leonard’s life and service to this country.

Victor Health Center
The Victor Health Center provides a choice for full-service family care for the residents of Victor as well as residents of eastern Poweshiek County and western Iowa County. This medical clinic, affiliated with Grinnell Regional Medical Center, is committed to bringing quality healthcare services closer to home.
The clinic opens access to healthcare locally every day in Victor. It provides an uplifting environment for providing quality healthcare services. The Victor Health Center offers numerous healthcare services including:
  • A laboratory capable of running common lab tests such as blood tests, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and throat cultures. Tests that require a pathologist to review are sent to an external laboratory for analysis.
  • A radiology suite with a new general x-ray unit and dark room for processing. Patients don’t need to travel to the hospital for basic diagnostic imaging.
  • Two patient exam rooms for the physician and nurse to care for the patient.
  • A large procedural room to accommodate equipment and staff as they repair lacerations, cast broken bones, and complete minor medical procedures.
  • A business office and physician’s office for medical records, billing, and scheduling.

Medical Professionals
Providing family care at Victor Health Center are David C. Cranston, MD and Jacqueline Harris, ARNP, FNP-C, Michelle Rozmus, RN, and radiology tech, and Amy Smith, patient representative. Their warm personalities and compassionate care comfort patients upon arrival.

Background
The Victor Health Center is a nonprofit organization created by Victor residents and the Victor Community Development Association. This organization partnered with Grinnell Regional Medical Center to manage, operate, and staff the family practice clinic. Land for the clinic was made available by the City of Victor through a long-term no-cost lease. Local residents contributed $265,000 to fund the construction of the clinic. Most noted is the $100,000 challenge grant by Orville and Loanna Bloethe.
