The ultimate quality score is the satisfaction of our customers. GRMC participates in the hospital component of the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (H CAHPS). It consists of a standardized patient questionnaire that can be used to compare inpatient experiences across the country. Beginning in March 2008, anyone may link to www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov to view any hospital’s HCAHPS survey results.
GRMC also uses an experience index to measure how our outpatients feel about their care. The goal is to get a low number. GRMC set a goal of 1.15 to set. A low number indicates few people had a negative or bad experience at GRMC.
